After 20 years as an elementary school librarian and time spent as a part-time blogger for the Lexington Herald-Leader, Jan decided to retire and devote all her time to writing and traveling - her two great loves! Luckily, her husband of over 30 years travels right along with her and is understanding when she has a writing deadline. And when she gets home, her two grown children, son-in-law and grandson are there to greet her because her happiest times are those spent with her close family and wonderful friends. She has recently devoted herself to a healthier lifestyle and is cooking and eating organically and learning Yoga and Pilates. She loves to read and always has a pile of books by her side and can't wait for summer when she can lounge by the pool or at the beach. She writes for all the Sampler Publications magazines and also sells ads in her free time...whenever she has any, that is!
